History of the Knights of Peter Claver, Inc.

Saint Peter Council # 110

Saint Peter Council #110 was organized and chartered as a local Council on May 23, 1949 in Charleston, South Carolina at St. Peter’s Catholic Church (Now St. Patrick Catholic Church). St. Peter's merged with St. Patrick Catholic Church in 1967. The Junior Knights branch of the Council was established in 1980. The historic mission of St. Peter Council 110 is to assist the Catholic Church and her clergy and religious, care for the organization’s members, and serve the needs of the larger communities.


Candidates for membership must be Catholic in communion with the Church. Members are encouraged to be active in the general community as part of their ministry of service. The Order is open to all members of the Catholic faith. 

Our Lady O Guadalupe

Court # 110

Our Lady of Guadalupe, Court #110 was organized May 19, 1963. The Junior Daughters Division was established in 1980 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Charleston.


The Knights of Peter Claver and Ladies Auxiliary, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Court #110 have been complimented over the years by the Junior Daughters Division. Members are active in all aspects of parish life at St. Patrick, Our Lady of Mercy, and other parishes are encouraged to be active in the general community as part of their ministry of service. The Ladies of Court 110 and the Junior Daughters provide services to its members, donations to Charleston Catholic School and assistance to community organizations such as the Crisis Ministries Homeless Shelter, Shaw Center Boys and Girls Club, and the Jenkins Institute for Children.
